Without a doubt one of the greatest parts about being a blogger is being able to collaborate with incredible brands, designers, artists and local businesses. Recently I was lucky enough to work with Flowers Across Australia who sent me the most incredible bouquet of flowers straight to my door.
Flowers Across Australia started out right here in Melbourne as a local florist in Hawthorn. The brilliant duo consisting of a florist and a tech wiz then expanded their business to become a floral delivery service like no other.
Priding themselves on consistency, quality and convenience they now deliver beautiful blooms not only across Melbourne, but Sydney as well. Or if flowers don't quite say what you want to say, you can opt to send a plant or even a yummy hamper of the finest wines and chocolates Australia has to offer.
But Flowers Across Aus are not just about giving something special to the ones you love, they also give back to the community. Each month Flowers Across Australia partner up with a local charity and give a portion of sales made from a special bouquet to said charity.
This month they have partnered up with The Babes Project and will donate 10% of all sale made from Lilies and Roses Bouquets to this incredible charity.
The beautiful bouquet I received is called Angel's Song and consists of roses, lisianthus, ivy berry, silver suede and foliage. Love!
If you had of asked MrAnnabell 8 years ago what flowers I liked, he would have told you that I hated flowers, for good reason. The very first Valentine's Day we spent together I was having a really bad day. I felt sick (love that anxiety), Mum & Dad were mad because we brought a puppy home without telling them (love those rental rules), I just didn't want to leave my bed. But MrAnnabell, being the hopeless romantic that he is, had other plans and surprised me with a limousine, a red carpet (yes, he literally rolled out a red carpet) and the biggest most beautiful bunch of red roses I have ever seen. I was 19, I had never been given roses before and didn't really know what to do with them or where to put them. I was barely home and didn't really "decorate" my room, so my response to receiving this beautiful bouquet was along the lines of, "Thank you, they're beautiful, but.. you don't have to buy me flowers again, I don't really like flowers that much. Chocolates though, I like!"
1. What a bitch, right?! 2. See, I literally told him that I didn't like flowers, which wasn't true, I just didn't know what to do with them.
Now that we have our own beautiful home that we styled together, I love having it full of fresh blooms and plants all the time. It makes it feel so much more homely and alive.
Flowers Across Australia is definitely a service we will be using again. It is so convenient and the blooms so fresh and pretty, our house will never look dull and lifeless again.
Make sure to check them out next time you want to surprise your loved ones or just brighten up your home.
