Recently I got the opportunity to work with an Australian household classic, The Cheesecake Shop, who have just launched a new range of not as naughty Everyday Delights.
If you follow me, you will know I have a very indulgent sweet tooth and probably eat desserts more often than I should. So when I was approached by The Cheesecake Shop to try one of their new Everyday Delights range I jumped at the opportunity.
There are currently 7 desserts in the Everyday Delights range spanning from gluten free orange cake to a decedent gluten free chocolate mud cake! There are lemon meringues and dressed pavlovas, all using free range eggs and fresh fruit and cream. Most of the cakes in this range are flourless and contain 33% less sugar than that of a similar cake.
It was a tough choice to only pick one, but when I saw it, I knew. The flourless Carrot Cake won my heart instantly with its cream cheese frosting sprinkled with dried apricots, lavender and earl grey tea leaves.
The cake was so moist (sorry, it's the only word that accurately describes it) and not overly sweet, however the little pops of sultanas and apricots gave it the perfect amount of sweetness.
Safe to say the cake didn't last longer than the weekend in my household. And I will definitely be going back to try more of this amazing new range.
Pop in to you local Cheesecake Shop to try the Everyday Delights range now, with prices ranging from $26.95-$29.95 for a full sized cake, I promise you won't feel too guilty!
